Setup guides
ChaffChing reads your commissions directly from each network's API using credentials you create. Nothing routes through a server of ours — your keys live in your device's Keychain, and requests go straight from your device to the network. Every connection is read-only: ChaffChing can see your sales, never move your money.
Connect as many networks and accounts as you like — that's free on every plan. ChaffChing Pro adds the analytics suite (sale detail, breakdowns, Trust Pulse, and payout projections), not a higher limit. Each network needs its own API credentials — pick yours below for a step-by-step guide.

Create a Personal Access Token and find your Publisher ID (CID).

Copy your Account SID and Auth Token from Settings → Technical → API.

Reveal your OAuth2 API token and find your numeric Publisher ID.

Create an OAuth2 Client ID + Secret and grab your Account SID.

Affiliate portals change their menus from time to time. If a path in a guide has moved, search the network's own help center for "API token" — the credential names ChaffChing asks for stay the same. You must be an approved publisher at a network, with API access enabled, before you can generate credentials.
Adding a network in the app
- Open ChaffChing and go to the Networks screen.
- Tap Add network and pick the network from the menu.
- Give it an optional label (e.g. "My niche site") so you can tell accounts apart.
- Paste the credentials from that network's guide into the matching fields. Each network's add screen also links straight to its setup guide.
- Tap Save. ChaffChing validates the credentials, then imports your recent history. New sales start arriving as cha-ching alerts.
Credentials are stored in your device Keychain and, if you use iCloud Keychain, sync securely to your other devices.
Re-syncing & polling
ChaffChing checks your networks on a schedule and pulls in anything new automatically — you rarely need to do anything.
Automatic polling
- Set how often it checks in Settings → Polling (every 1–60 minutes; the default is 5).
- The Mac app polls continuously while it's running and pushes updates to your iPhone over iCloud.
- The iPhone app polls instantly when open, and in the background when the system allows it.
Re-syncing history manually
To re-pull the last 90 days for an account — for example after fixing credentials, or if numbers look off:
- Go to the Networks screen.
- Tap the ⋯ menu on the account.
- Choose Re-sync history. The backfill runs quietly (no alerts) and refreshes that account's data.
Troubleshooting
An account shows "Needs attention"
This usually means the credentials were rejected. Open the network's portal, confirm the token is still valid (some expire or get revoked), then re-enter it: tap ⋯ → Disconnect and add the network again, or generate a fresh token. Each network's guide above has the exact steps.
No sales are showing up
- Confirm the account is Connected on the Networks screen.
- Run Re-sync history to pull the last 90 days.
- Check you used the right Publisher ID / Account SID — with Awin and impact.com, the wrong ID points at an empty or different account.
- Brand-new sales can take time to appear in a network's API, independent of ChaffChing.
The numbers differ from my network dashboard
ChaffChing shows a live view of what each API reports right now. Networks revise, reverse, lock, and re-state commissions constantly, so figures shift over time. Treat ChaffChing as a real-time pulse, not an accounting ledger — always rely on each network's official reporting for invoicing and tax.
