Connect Pepperjam (Ascend)
Pepperjam — now the Ascend platform — authenticates with a single static API key you generate in your dashboard. ChaffChing reads your transaction detail only; your key stays in your device Keychain.

Before you start
- You need an active Pepperjam / Ascend publisher account.
- API access is self-service — the key lives in your dashboard.
Where to get your API key
- Sign in to Ascend at ascend.pepperjam.com.
- In the left navigation open Resources → API Keys.
- Generate (or copy) your key and paste it into ChaffChing's API Key field.
ChaffChing reads the publisher transaction-details report — the same data the dashboard shows, including your sid tracking value.
Troubleshooting
"Could not authenticate"
Regenerate the key in Resources → API Keys and paste the whole string. An old, revoked key returns an unauthorized error.
Connected, but no sales
Confirm you have active programs and recent transactions, then run Re-sync history from the ⋯ menu to pull the last 90 days.
